Cultural Design
Honouring story, identity, and place through design.
Our cultural design practice draws on deep community relationships and language knowledge to create artwork, branding, and visual narratives that reflect cultural authority and creative excellence. Each project is guided by consultation, respect for protocols, and collaboration — ensuring that what we create together is both beautiful and meaningful, connecting people to Country and culture.
Yitpi Yartapuultiku — Karta & Lartelare Murals
Created for the new Yitpi Yartapuultiku Cultural Centre in Port Adelaide, these works highlight significant Kaurna cultural sites through deep research, consultation, and revision. Each design incorporates local plants, totemic animals, and traditional patterns to ensure authentic Kaurna cultural expression and connection to place.
Cheeky Boy Game
Cultural Design Collaboration
Working with Jacob Boehme, we developed Nharangga cultural scenes, landscapes, and characters — featuring traditional artefacts, totems, animals, and native plants — for an upcoming video game celebrating culture through story and play.
Working closely with our Community
Ensuring culturally grounded and appropriate artistic expression for every project.
Our creative process is deeply collaborative, guided by Elders, community members, and cultural authorities to ensure each artwork reflects authentic cultural knowledge and meaning. Through consultation and co-design, we adapt our approach for each community and context — upholding protocols, integrity, and respect. Every project becomes a shared act of storytelling, shaped by those whose voices and histories it represents.
Kaurna country
Architectural Window Design
Commissioned by an architectural firm, this original artwork was created for a feature window that casts dynamic shadows across interior walls — symbolising the living connection between built space and Country. Drawing inspiration from Tarndanya (Adelaide) and the Kangaroo Dreaming Trail, the design integrates patterns and forms that reflect the movement of Kangaroo through the plains, embedding cultural significance into the heart of the building’s design.
