Adjadura Studio
Adjadura Studio is a First Nations–led creative business based in Melbourne, bringing together original artwork and design, fashion, and augmented reality (AR) with multimedia storytelling.
Our purpose is to preserve and share cultural knowledge while promoting the use of First Nations languages in new and engaging ways. The name Adjadura, meaning “My People” in Nharangga Warra, reflects our commitment to community, inclusiveness, and cultural pride.
Founded by Daen Sansbury-Smith, a Nharangga, Kaurna, and Trawlwoolway multimedia arts producer, Adjadura Studio builds on years of cultural art, language, and digital innovation. Daen was awarded the Fellowship for Indigenous Leadership (2022, Victoria) and the Creative Australia Fellowship for First Nations Arts (2025), recognising his leadership and contribution to cultural preservation and continuation through modern technology and multimedia production.
He is also the Founder of Our Peoples Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation advancing language, cultural knowledge, and community-led creative practices across Australia.
Our work spans from meaningfully designed products to films, sound, AR murals, and cultural programs. Whether through youth workshops, large-scale public artworks, or immersive digital storytelling, everything we create is driven by one purpose — to maintain, strengthen, and evolve cultural art and language revival.

"Living in my community is like living in tomorrow's history books about Aboriginal people. With my skill set I see it as my responsibility to ensure that those before me have a proper voice, through me, to those who come after me. Ultimately I feel a deep desperation to document appropriately, accurately and artistically those cultural stories and evolve those expressions with technology."
